Saint Laurent

In June 2021 Saint Laurent pressed Anthony Vaccarello’s show soundtracks to vinyl: twelve records covering Women’s Spring/Summer 2017 through Women’s Summer 2021, all composed by SebastiAn of Ed Banger Records. The boxset sold only through Rive Droite in Paris and Los Angeles and on the house’s own site. The streaming version went up on 1 July 2021 and has grown a season at a time since. Charlotte Gainsbourg introduced the two men while SebastiAn was finishing her album in New York.

The collection holds twenty-seven soundtracks, each named for its season and running six to seventeen minutes. SebastiAn writes one in three or four days and has handed over the final version less than an hour before a show started, which he says keeps the music instinctive.
