MM6 Maison Margiela

Artisanal is Margiela’s line for garments built out of found and reworked material, and it is where the house does its couture thinking. Honey Dijon made this playlist for it. She grew up in Chicago house and has supplied music to Louis Vuitton and Dior shows for years. The selection reads like a working DJ’s set.

Its twenty tracks put house and techno next to minimalism and post-punk without smoothing the seam. The list moves through Plastikman, Shed, Philip Glass, Arthur Russell, New Order and Honey Dijon’s own records.
