Rick Owens
Moncler + Rick Owens, Spring/Summer 2026
January 15, 2026
Moncler Genius hands the down jacket to one designer at a time, and Rick Owens has held the slot for years. On 15 January 2026 the two put out their first summer collection together. Owens called it Brucolic, a word he built from brutalist and bucolic to describe Berlin concrete and the wild green around it. Geocamo quilting, asymmetric jersey skirts and kilt shorts came in black, olive and a new carnelian red. Juergen Teller shot six campaign photographs of people kissing: Owens with Michèle Lamy and Teller with Dovile Drizyte, followed by the couples swapping partners.
Moncler put nine tracks behind the collaboration. Bowie’s Subterraneans opens it, The Human League and Gary Numan come next, and it closes on Nina Simone singing Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair, Klaus Nomi doing Purcell’s Cold Song and Thom Yorke’s Suspirium.
