Miu Miu

Mimi Xu is a composer, producer and DJ working between London and Paris, where she also records as Misty Rabbit. She started classical piano at eight. Her father, Albert Yaying Xu, is a French-Chinese acoustic architect who designs concert halls, so she grew up around the sound of rooms being built. She has played for Miu Miu, Prada, Marni and Hermès and ran the music for the Miu Miu pop-up club in London. Her score for the film LUZ was up for best original score at Sundance in early 2025.

The seventeen tracks follow a day turning into evening. Nina Simone, Grace Jones, Marcia Griffiths and Lianne La Havas sit next to Clairo, Yaeji, Lil Nas X and Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul. It opens on Digital Dissolve by Awkward Moments, the duo she formed with MAGUIRE in 2017, and ends on a Hannah Holland remix of the same pair.
