Burberry

Burberry streamed its Spring/Summer 2022 menswear presentation at 2pm on Wednesday 23 June 2021 and gave the companion playlist to Shpongle, the psychedelic electronic project Simon Posford and Raja Ram started in England in 1996. The house’s own note calls it exclusively curated by Shpongle ahead of the presentation, which is an unusual sentence for a British luxury label to write.

The playlist has thirty tracks, twenty-eight of them by Shpongle, pulled from across the catalogue: Divine Moments of Truth, Dorset Perception, Star Shpongled Banner, the 2019 remasters of When Shall I Be Free? and The Stamen of the Shamen. It closes on two by The Infinity Project, Raja Ram’s earlier group.
